JITO Vapi Ladies Wing organized "Computer Literacy Training Workshop” on 4th October, at Dnyan Bharti Society’s ICT Lab. The workshop was organized by Mrs Vaishali Ashit Bothra for the members of the JITO Ladies Wing, Vapi Chapter. The main purpose of organizing this workshop was to impart basic computer literacy skills for the members of this association. Each member was assigned an individual laptop and were made to undergo hands-on, practical sessions on computer operation as well as understanding basic computer application software MS Office 2007. The members were also introduced to various hardware and software components. Further, the members were made aware of using various apps approved by the Government of India like DigiLocker (National Digital Locker System) for storing and later retrieving useful files and documents issued by the GOI, online; UTS (for Indian Railways) for booking of railway journey tickets while on the move, checking PNR status, etc. Few of the members were also encouraged to open their email accounts. The workshop was held in two sessions. The computer training programme and lunch was sponsored by Mrs Vaishali Bothra. During the entire computer literacy workshop Mr. Percy E. Jamshedwala provided the necessary guidance and assistance. Technologist Percy Jamshetwala trained 45 ladies.
