Youth Wing of JITO Chennai organized a Blood Donation awareness talk by Dr. Kailash Jain on 1st April. Apart from stressing on the huge demand of Blood in city, he also shared personal experiences how sometimes improper processing of collected blood makes it unusable and in this way lot of blood is also wasted post collection, so it is always important to organize camps with proper post event processing and storage of blood. He also spoke about how collected unit of blood is disseminated into different components like Plasma, Platelets, Hemoglobin and more which increases the scope of usage of the collected blood.
After the talk, Sri Anil Jain and Sri Uttam Shah from JITO Apex  congratulated and motivated youth wing members. This was followed by Blood donation, where participants gave blood samples to be checked by doctors for eligibility for donations and collected around 40 units of blood. After the Inaugural session, AntrikshTatia, Secretary delivered voted of thanks.
